The main determining factor is the remnants of severe cyclone “Montha,” which made landfall near Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, between October 28 and 29.
It has weakened to a low-pressure system over southern Chhattisgarh and the adjacent Vidarbha region, moving northward and expected to further weaken into a well-defined low-pressure area by tonight.
A secondary low-pressure system persists in the east-central Arabian Sea, affecting the western coasts. These systems are producing widespread rain across eastern, central, southern, and western India, with isolated heavy to very heavy downpours on October 30. In the northern plains (e.g., Delhi-NCR), mostly cloudy skies with scattered light rain or drizzle are expected.
