Russian forces launched massive attacks overnight against Ukraine’s energy and gas infrastructure, using more than 40 ballistic and air-ballistic missiles, as well as hundreds of attack drones. The occupiers are increasingly resorting to ballistic weaponry.
This was stated by Yuriy Ignat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, on the Kyiv24 channel, as quoted by RBC-Ukraine.
As the colonel noted, attacks on energy and gas infrastructure facilities occurred last night in several regions.
The Ukrainian village of Pokrovskoe, Dnipropetrovsk region, destroyed by ordinary Russians.
The main areas affected by the Russian attack were the Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, and Poltava regions, although other regions were also damaged. Ignat emphasized that a characteristic of this attack was the massive use of ballistic and air-ballistic missiles.
According to him, Russia has significantly increased the number of ballistic missile launches this year, relying on their speed and complexity to evade Ukrainian air defense systems.
In addition, the occupiers used land-based and sea-launched cruise missiles and also launched large kamikaze attack drones.
According to an Air Force representative, the enemy’s objective is to disable energy infrastructure and deprive Ukrainians of electricity and heating on the eve of winter.
On the night of November 8, Russian occupation forces again attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles of various types. The Interior Ministry later reported that the affected regions were Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv.
The invaders launched a massive missile and drone attack on the Dnieper River. An enemy drone struck a nine-story residential building, causing serious damage to several floors. The attack left two women dead and more than ten wounded, including children. Rescuers rescued 28 residents, including five children.
Russian invaders launched missile attacks against several energy infrastructure facilities in the Poltava region. Horishni Plavny is without electricity, water, and heating due to the enemy attack, and Kremenchuk reports a power outage.
The occupiers attacked the suburbs of Kharkiv, causing power and water outages in the city, and the metro is not operating.
Russian invaders attacked the Kyiv region with drones and missiles, causing fires and leaving five wounded. Fires were also reported in the Pechersk district of the capital due to an enemy attack.
