Olympiacos veteran Dani García has spoken about the Champions League clash against Barcelona.
García knows Barça well, having faced them 20 times during his spells with Eibar and Athletic Bilbao.
“We have to give our best. We all know how to play against teams like this,” said García.
“Against Arsenal, we showed that we can play well, and we hope to put in a similar performance this time, but with a different result than the one we achieved in England.”
Asked about the excitement of such a match, the veteran replied: “Yes, you don’t have to be 20 to enjoy this type of game. It’s a great match, and no matter your age, it’s a real pleasure to play here.”
Regarding what Barça can expect from Olympiacos, he added: “They’re a competitive team, like the day we played against Arsenal. We ended up losing 2-0, but we were in the game and held on.”
“This is a team that bears the Mendilibar mark, and we’ll give it our all.”
