Yesterday, Friday, November 7, three games were played as part of the regular season of 2025-26, which is in its first few weeks (game 15 of 50).

Gigantes 3-4 Águilas: Ronnie Williams (Águilas) pitched 6.0 scoreless innings; a solo home run by Yadiel Hernández decided the game. The Águilas remain undefeated on the road (5-0).

Toros 2-5 Licey: Emilio Vargas (Licey) struck out 8 in 5 innings; Dawel Lugo drove in 3 with a double. Licey won their fourth straight game.
Estrellas 6-5 Escogido (extra): Rainer Núñez hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning. Junior Lake (Estrellas) went 3-for-5 with 2 home runs.

Impact on the standings

Águilas extend their lead to two games and become the first team to reach 11 wins. With 35 games remaining, they are projected to have a 36-14 record in the regular season.

Licey solidify their playoff position (top-4) and cut the gap to third place to one game.

Estrellas pull off a dramatic save and remain in a Round Robin spot; a loss would have dropped them to fifth.

Escogido squanders a 5-2 lead in the eighth game and suffers their third consecutive loss, now out of contention for the first time in 10 days.

Toros and Gigantes deepen their slump: Toros have lost six of their last seven games; Gigantes have suffered five straight defeats and are virtually eliminated (seven games below .500 with 35 games remaining).

The Eagles are the team to beat: 11-4, collective pitching ERA 2.78, offense averages 5.9 runs per game. If they stay healthy, they’re the favorites for the top seed.

The race for third and fourth place is tightening: only 1.5 games separate third place (Estrellas) from fifth (Toros). The next 10 days will determine who makes the round-robin.

Giants are in “express rebuild” mode: 4-11, last in team batting average (.228). They need a miracle or drastic roster changes. Impact on MLB prospects:

Carter Jensen (KC, Eagles) is batting .290 after the Futures Game.

Jordan Lawlar (ARI, Licey) returned from injury and drove in two runs.
Junior Caminero (TB) remains sidelined by Rays decision → Escogido misses him.

Attendance and TV: Average of 8,200 fans per stadium; Digital 15 + MLB.tv broadcast registered a peak of 1.2 million streams during the Estrellas’ walk-off game.

Next game day (Saturday, November 8)

2:30 PM: Águilas @ Gigantes (Julián Javier)
5:00 PM: Licey @ Toros (La Romana)
7:00 PM: Escogido @ Estrellas (Tetelo Vargas)
